I collected the seeds and planted them the following year. This is my favorite. It is very dark, darker than the picture shows and holds up well in the heat.

Petunia Tree - Earl's Garden - Marquette, Michigan 2005 - This is a 10' tall all steel tree first installed in the spring of 2005. It has only 5 branches. There is an internal watering system. Wasn't sure if the watering system was going to work. Since it was the very first of these types of trees, this was extremely risky as I didn't really know if it was going to thrive or die. Ten thousand cars per day drove by to witness my success or failure. It turned out to be more successful than I imagined. The compliments never stopped and prompted me to go even further out on the limb with more trees, and bigger trees, in concrete or steel wire.

This petunia tree is 12 feet tall. The terminal branch attachments are removable to allow conversion to different motifs in different seasons. It can be made into a different tree every year or season simply by changing the attachment or choice of plant.
